Vintage Art Deco chandelier, made of Murano blown glass and gilded brass - Barovier & Toso

Refined chandelier with six lights, made between the late Thirties and the early Forties, represents the excellence of Muranese craftsmanship, attributable to the famous furnace Barovier & Toso. The piece stands out for its use of pure and transparent crystal, handcrafted, with elongated arms and wide ornamental curls that reinterpret the Venetian Baroque style with lightness in a twentieth-century key.

The bell-shaped diffusers are made using the technique of helical filigree, which generates a sophisticated geometric dynamism: when viewed from the front, the milk glass threads describe a spiral pattern, while the side view overlaps the front and back textures, creating the characteristic and sought-after lattice optical effect.

The supporting structure of the chandelier is made of gold-plated brass, with the central part shaped like a striped acorn from which the long crystal arms extend. Despite its significant size, with a diameter of 105 cm, this chandelier maintains a remarkable visual lightness.
