Vintage cut-crystal 12-light chandelier in Empire style

Vintage chandelier in cut crystal and glass, made in Italy in the 1950s. The brass structure reflects the neoclassical taste of Empire-style chandeliers popular between the 19th and 20th centuries.

The upper section consists of numerous chains of cut-glass octagons, descending from the crown to the central band. Eight brass arms extend around the structure, decorated with glass cups and hanging crystal drops.

In the lower section, several rows of crystal prisms are arranged on multiple levels, forming the characteristic basket-shaped chandelier structure. A large cut-crystal pendant completes the central section.

Restoration and electrical system

The chandelier has been completely restored. The brass structure was cleaned of oxidation, while all the octagons, prisms, and pendants were disassembled, cleaned, and restrung.

The electrical system was rewired and is equipped with a grounding wire. The chandelier is illuminated by 12 lights: eight external lights with E14 sockets and four internal lights with E27 sockets, compatible with E26 bulbs.
