Large Empire Style Balloon Chandelier in Brass and Bohemian Crystal, Italy 1940s

Large Empire style bag chandelier, made of brass and Bohemian crystal, in oval shape, produced in Italy around the 1940s.

The majestic brass structure is enhanced by rows of crystal octagons that descend from the upper crown to the central one. The latter is further decorated with facetedcrystalsset, glass leaves, and hanging prisms that surround its entire perimeter.

From here, a cascade of crystals descends, gathering at the bottom, forming the classic "basket chandelier" silhouette. The arrangement of the crystals, when illuminated, releases a play of lights and reflections, enhancing the brilliance of Bohemian crystal and the warm tone of brass.

• The height can be increased by adding more rings to the chain or shortened.

The chandelier is equipped with 16 total light points: 12 external wooden candles with E14 fittings and 4 internal lights with E27 fittings, compatible with USA E26 bulbs.

Thanks to easily available adapters, it is possible to use bulbs with any socket, making the chandelier usable anywhere in the world. 

The chandelier has been completely restored, the entire structure has been disassembled, the brass has been freed from oxidation while preserving its original patina, and all the crystals have been disassembled, cleaned, and reattached.

The electrical system has been completely replaced and is equipped with grounding. The electrical wiring supports both 220 V and 110 V, making it perfectly compatible with international electrical standards.
