Large Maria Teresa chandelier in crystal with 12 lights - Italy 1920

Large Maria Teresa crystal chandelier with 12 lights, characterized by an elegant wrought iron structure (later gilded), finely covered with a thin layer of glass, decorated with numerous crystal pendants that reflect light in a sparkling way. From the central shaft protrude the 12 arms arranged on two levels, enhanced by Bohemian crystal ornaments: drops, rosettes, pendants, harmoniously balanced, making this stunning chandelier rich yet at the same time elegant and balanced. The crystal cups are supported by golden leaf wood ornaments. Made in the early years of the '900 (1900/1920), coming from an ancient Roman palace, it had reached the end of its life, semi-destroyed as can be seen in the last photos, but after a meticulous restoration work, it has returned to its former glory. The chandelier was completely disassembled, the gilding redone, and the electrical system replaced. I reattached each individual crystal with metal wire because the wire that held the crystals was worn out. From the photos, I couldn't show the great beauty of this chandelier.
