Elegant collection of three Ca’ Rezzonico chandeliers in blown glass from Murano, an authentic expression of baroque and rococo Venetian style of the 18th century. Works of art born from the mastery of Muranese glassmakers, they stand out for their decorative richness and the harmony of proportions.
Made in the first half of the '900, they are characterized by a wide cage-like structure, composed of elements in transparent blown glass with colored inserts in pink and light blue, enriched with multicolored leaves and flowers. The 9 arms open harmoniously and support candle holder cups.
The name “Ca’ Rezzonico” derives from the ancient Venetian family Rezzonico, who chose these chandeliers as decoration and a symbol of prestige for their palace. They represent the pinnacle of Venetian baroque and rococo style of the 18th century. Even today, in the Ca’ Rezzonico Museum in Venice, it is possible to admire a monumental specimen, similar but larger in size, which testifies to the extraordinary importance of this model.
Carefully restored and brought back to their former glory thanks to meticulous restoration work: they were completely disassembled, the arms, originally rusted, were treated and silvered, while the electrical system was entirely replaced.
Diameter 38 inches (95 cm), Height 41 inches (105 cm).
