Chandelier Art Déco in Murano glass , made in the the Thirties and attributable to Barovier & Toso .
The elegant structure consists of two large glass arches that meet to form a sinuous frame. The arches end in harmonious curls that frame the central part, dominated by a blown glass bowl with wavy and fluid lines, typical of the aerodynamic Art Déco style.
The central bowl resembles a large leaf floating suspended above the water jets, an effect that evokes the image of a glass fountain.
The central body, made of brass, adopts an essential yet refined technical and decorative solution.
Two glass pendant drops complete the ensemble, adding a touch of lightness and transparency.
Dimensions: Height 104 cm (40.9"), Width 42 cm (16.5"), Depth 24 cm (9.4").
Upon request, I can shorten the height.
An authentic Venetian Art Déco masterpiece, an expression of the perfect fusion between art and technique that made the furnaces of Murano from the early twentieth century immortal.
The chandelier has been restored, the brass has been freed from oxidation while maintaining the patina of time. New electrical system equipped with a ground wire. Illuminated by a central E27 light compatible with E26 bulbs in the USA.
