Antique Oval Hot Air Balloon Chandelier Empire Style in Bronze and Crystal with 8 Lights

Oval ceiling light in hot air balloon style Empire style, made in Italy in the early decades of the '900, characterized by a structure in bronze and a dense cascade of ground crystals.

The body of the ceiling light is embellished with a chiseled crown decoration, with ornamental details typical of the Empire style, including masks, garlands, urns, and mythological figures. The bottom is completed by a final drop in the shape of pine cone, symbol of eternity and prosperity.

The structure is enriched by a combination of octagonal prisms and drop pendants, which amplify the luminous effect creating a play of reflections.

The Empire style, which originated in France in the early 19th century under the rule of Napoleon Bonaparte, is characterized by the richness of decorations and the use of classical elements from Greco-Roman antiquity.

The ceiling light has been completely dismantled and restored, the oxide has been removed from the metal, preserving the patina of time. The crystals have been cleaned and re-sewn one by one. The electrical system has been replaced with a new. It features eight E27 light points (Europe), also compatible with bulbs E26 (USA). 

This chandelier is suitable for lighting both low and high ceilings.
