1930s Art Deco vintage chandelier in Murano glass with 18 leaves, Ercole Barovier

Elegant Italian vintage chandelier from around the 1930s, in Murano glass, by Ercole Barovier.

Inspired by forms found in nature, the chandelier reflects the decorative style of the first half of the 20th century. Its 18 large leaves in clear Murano glass are arranged on two levels, with 6 facing upward and 12 curving gently downward, creating a composition reminiscent of an ornamental plant.

Each leaf features fine raised veins, highlighted when the light is switched on.

At the center of the chandelier is a large clear glass plate, decorated with a woven pattern and enclosing three lights. The distinctive glasswork helps diffuse the light and conceal the bulbs and internal wiring.

The chandelier is completed by a long central tube in spiraled glass, topped with a cup that echoes the woven pattern of the central plate.

The chandelier has been restored and is in excellent condition, with all glass elements intact and a completely renewed electrical system, fitted with 3 E27 European lights compatible with E26 US bulbs.

Electrical system

The chandelier has three E27 sockets, which can also be used with American E26 bulbs. It is suitable for LED bulbs and configured for 110–120 V power supplies in the United States and 220–240 V in Europe.

As an authentic vintage chandelier, it may show small signs of age, consistent with its period and a testament to its originality.
